Executive Order No. 66 s. 2018, otherwise known as the “Institutionalizing of the Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS)”, directs all government-owned or controlled corporations (GOCCs), and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) to implement the said anti-illegal drugs strategy through its projects and programs.

In support thereto, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) will hold a contest entitled, “2022 Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS) Innovative Awards,” which aims to: (1) showcase the significant strategies, projects, and innovations being implemented by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the country to comply with the aforementioned Executive Order and (2) to strengthen the anti-illegal drugs program in their respective institutions.

With this mandate, members of the panel for the regional category headed by Education Supervisor II, Mr. Danstone Guy Dayaday and Ms. Leah Manon-og conducted verification of documents submitted by the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of Region XII last March 22-23, 2022.

Awarding of regional winners shall be on or before April 10, 2022, and in May 2022 for the National Level during the celebration of the National Higher Education Week.
